WHEN ITS RALLY TIME!

What is every parents worse nightmare? How about receiving a call in the middle of the night from one of your kids. It is never good news. Two weeks ago, I received one of those calls from my daughter Jessica. "Dad, Greg has been in an accident and they are rushing him to the hospital!!! Pray dad!! I don't want to lose my husband!!" She was in tears.
I jumped out of bed and woke up the rest of the family, “Its rally time! Greg has been hurt in an accident. We need to pray together that God will save him” Our whole family came together and prayed as I jetted to the hospital in Lake Forest. Moments like these can not be endured without the “the amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God (the Father), the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit” with us. (2 Cor 13:14 MESSAGE)

How do people survive these moments without Jesus?

As I was driving, my heart cried out, “Father speak to me! My son has been hurt. Jesus, what is going on?” Within a couple of moments, the amazing grace of God spoke into my heart, “Greg is going to make it.” The peace the bible talks about that ‘passes all understanding’, started moving the fear and panic out of my heart. God also dropped an image of a white car into my heart, and I knew that Greg had been hit by a car while riding home on Sunday night.

The week before, Joshua (my favorite youngest son) was driving on the freeway when a gardener’s lawn mover fell off his truck in front of him causing a four-car accident. We were so grateful that Joshua was protected from being seriously injured. He walked away from the accident with a sore neck, a totaled car (his baby) and the experience of having an airbag explode in his face.

In both of these accidents, neither of the drivers at fault stopped to call 911. We are thankful for the Father's saving grace that kept my boys safe.

One of most powerful images this Christmas for us is the truth that God the Father rallied His Heavenly family, so that we would no longer have to face the trials of our life alone.

“For God (The Father) so loved the world (you), that He gave His only son (Jesus), that whoever would receive Him, would not die but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Two thousand years ago, the Father cried, “RALLY TIME!” and the heavenly family responded, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11 ESV)! The Father loves you and sent His Son to let you know!

His amazing grace, His extravagant love and His abiding presence in the person of the Holy Spirit is the life we can know in our families. He rallied for us so that my family, and yours, would not have to stay stuck in the their brokenness. I am so grateful to Him for the family we now have and for the thousands of families we have seen God rally in.

I have given the rest of my life to the message so that your families could have the family God wants for you. Would your consider supporting us with an end of the year gift, so that we could reach more families in 2016?

lt has been an honor serving your families this past year! Pray for us for strength, wisdom and resources so we can fulfill the Father's call on our lives.

IT'S RALLY TIME!!

Merry Christmas,

Ed
